I am writing to tell you about my experience living in the house that Mike Carubia built at 36 Marakill Lane. My wife, son, and I have enjoyed every day we have spent living here. We were extremely impressed with the thought and care that went into the design of this house. The execution of the design is also top-notch. It is obvious that a lot of care went into the construction. This is the third house that we have owned and it has been, "hands down" the most trouble-free and comfortable home we have lived in.
We purchased the home in September 2012 and have not had any problems or issues beyond routine maintenance. The home is efficient; it feels warm when you want it to and remains cool when the sun is hot. It was laid out intelligently with abundant natural light streaming into the living spaces during the winter months, yet remains shaded with dappled sunlight during the summer. My wife and I looked for a house to purchase in New Paltz for two years without any luck, however, we submitted an "asking price" offer on this house the first time we saw it because we knew it was special.
Mike was very helpful and transparent during the purchasing process, providing construction plans and CDs filled with pictures of the entire construction process. I would not hesitate to purchase another house built by Mike Carubia.
